Vector artists have a hard time keeping patient on a scan they really want to vector---it's so intricate with details that it's practically mind blowing! I, a vector artist solely for non-profit and only for hobby, is going to become very very patient on a vector I want to do. This section is where I'll post difficult vectors (over 10 in scale of difficulty) and go through the progress in detailed words. I'll even keep a day-by-day journal, a calender if you will of each day I've made in progress. I hope this will become a success so I can use more in the future. It eases me to create a vector and write about it for some of my fans to see.
This month's difficult vector project is:
Type: Monthly Challenge
Character(s): Fay
Series : Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
Difficulty : INSANE! (10/10)
Number of Characters : 1
Hours in Total : 3 Hours and 30 minutes

Day 0 (12/19): The Rant | 0% Progress Made
The outlining of this scan should be relatively easy, I just need a firm butt to be able to vector it for long enough (lol). But when it comes to the coloring the icicles will prove to be the most difficult since they have many shadings and gradients. I'll promise not to blend the shades too much, probably blend them to only about 2.0 this time.
Day 1 (12/20): The Start | 5% Progress Made
The outline starts! But I had to maximize the vector to about 3000 since the details are tiny. I plan to make this into a vector-wall but I'm not sure if it's gonna end up that way. I got critical advice from an admin at AP about my previous vector-wall saying the outlines were ugly. XP Well, that is probably because I added a white layer too so that's probably why it got blown out of the water. Well, scanning over this scan carefully, not only the icicles will be hard to outline/color, but the coat as well. I need to be really patient when it comes to the design too.
Day 2 (12/27): The Stretch | 6% Progress Made
How sad, I've only completed 1% since the last update. I've been too busy and/or uninspired to vector when I came to vectoring the scepter. But today I tried and it was horrible! So many anchor points, so many little details. *drinks some coffee* AHH...Oh, yes! I'm halfway finished with the scepter however, then after that there's the orbs, the internal details, the black recesses, was I on drugs when I wanted to try this out? Oh, the pain, the pain...Dx
